As the residency moves towards its final presentation, L’Élanographe brings its research into orientation into an interactive space. A compass and various propositions for orientation invite visitors to navigate through gesture, choice and detour.

Internal Notations: Making Injunctions Perceptible, Putting Orientation Back into Play.

Internal Notations takes words, arrows, gaps, folds and spatial arrangements as starting points for maps, scores and situations for collective activation. The research examines how these traces can be transformed and become instruments of experimentation, while preserving the confidentiality of the situations from which they emerged.

How might a straight line be brought to an end? During this residency at The Window, the question became an invitation to play. Games and encounters with the public activated a series of artistic devices, testing what gestures, choices and responses could set in motion. This exploration has been a first step to L’Élanographe: lines to divert, signs to rearrange, and instruments whose possibilities unfold through use.
